Kutztown to Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton Public Transit: Blue Line
This visualizer is an unofficial public resource built from LANTA’s public GTFS schedule data. Its purpose is to make the LANTA Blue Line easier to explore for people in and around Kutztown who want to understand the nearest Lehigh Valley transit connection.
GTFS stands for General Transit Feed Specification. In plain English, it is the standard data format transit agencies use to publish route, stop, schedule, calendar, and map-shape information. This tool reads LANTA’s public GTFS feed, identifies the Blue Line, and organizes the relevant scheduled departures into a searchable schedule, map, and trip-planning format.
For Kutztown residents, the Blue Line is useful but imperfect. Kutztown has a clear last-mile problem in this direction: the route does not currently start in Kutztown, so riders generally need an Uber/Lyft or a friend to drop them off at the Trexlertown end of the line near the Giant supermarket.
Once you get to Trexlertown, however, the Blue Line offers a much stronger regional transit connection. It runs through the Lehigh Valley toward Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, with scheduled departures that generally run about every 30 minutes during much of the service day.
Because Trexlertown is the end of the line, scheduled departures from that stop may also be more predictable than pickups at stops farther along the route. Buses can still be delayed, but endpoint departures tend to align more closely with the published schedule than mid-route arrival times.
One important note: This is a scheduled departure visualizer, not a live bus tracker. The times shown come from LANTA’s published schedule data and may not reflect delays, cancellations, detours, or real-time vehicle locations. For live updates, always check LANTA’s official rider tools before making a time-sensitive trip.
